The XotoCAM wound documentation camera is a certified medical device developed in close partnership with medical experts to ensure simple integration in your clinic’s workflow. From image recording to patient assignment, the direct link to the Hospital Information System (HIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) minimizes errors in the documentation of wounds and guarantees data security. Regardless of whether you take images or record videos, enter measurements or document and archive your data – the XotoTEC wound management system is a legally compliant and practice-oriented solution that allows you to combine digital documentation in words and images.
The XOTOTEC wound management system in everyday clinical use
The XotoSYSTEM’s core (XotoBASE) consists of a user-dependent number of XotoCAMs linked to the XotoGATE server software. The basic version of the XotoCAM includes the standard software for taking images and digitally measuring wounds. Other software modules can be installed for diagnosis/medical history, treatment recommendation, treatment implementation and material management. The data created is stored in XotoGATE where it is available for HIS, PACS and XotoAPP processing. This ensures automatic assignment of the documentation data to the patient’s case file. It is no longer necessary to manually assign data, which minimizes effort and errors.

Integration in the Hospital Information System
Infrastructure link
The system can communicate with the hospital’s internal systems via the standardized HL7 and DICOM interfaces to transfer the patient master data of all patients undergoing treatment to XotoCAM. This function ensures that patient selection can be made without further manual input via barcode or the integrated search. This guarantees optimum clarity in system use.
Data transfer via a simple HL-7 interface
The HL-7 interface (MDM) makes it possible to generate a PDF file of the collected data (diagnosis, treatment recommendation, treatments implemented) with direct assignment to the patient’s case file. This eliminates the need for further manual assignment of examination data to the patient’s case file. This simplifies integration into the IT infrastructure.
Data transfer via interface integration
If the in-house HIS already offers integrated wound documentation, direct communication between HIS and the XotoSYSTEM is possible via deep integration. This requires in-depth exchange with the HIS provider and the hospital’s own IT department to come up with a field-to-field assignment of the respective data fields.
Image and measurement data upload without interfaces
Even without interfaces it is possible to archive the recorded data and images on XotoGATE and edit them via the XotoAPP.
Transfer of patient data
If required, XotoGATE can distribute patient master data via Order Management or to the connected XotoCAM based on the ward. This function ensures that patient selection is kept to a minimum and that clarity in system handling is maintained. GDPR Compliance is also guaranteed.
